Mr Waters will become the fourth CEO since the organisation was established by the Gold Corporation Act in 1987 and only the 15th leader since The Perth Mint opened in 1899. Gwen managed a portfolio of local accounts whilst supporting the delivery of national accounts and she was responsible for growing revenue and market share for the Sales team. Liezil Slabbert has been promoted to Senior Sales Manager in the Consumer Operations Department at The Westin Perth. Liezil joined The Westin Perth as part of the pre-opening team in January 2018, and has been integral in driving results enabling the hotel to exceed the banquets budget in 2018 and 2019. In her new role Liezil will be responsible for leading the catering sales team as the Westin Perth reopens and rebuilds.
