Business Events Perth today announces that Perth, Western Australia, has been selected as the host destination for the World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC) 2026.
The decision was unveiled following a collaborative bid led by the Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE), supported by Business Events Perth, showcasing the State's position as a global leader in environmental education.
WEEC 2026 is a pivotal gathering that promotes the exchange of ideas and strategies for addressing pressing environmental challenges.
As the host destination, Perth, Western Australia will have the opportunity to spotlight its commitment to environmental conservation and education on the global stage.
Western Australia is home to multiple UNESCO world heritage listed sites, showcasing the unique, vast and extraordinary landscapes found within the state.
The congress is expected to draw hundreds of high-profile delegates, including leading environmentalists, policymakers, and educators from around the world.

Hon Rita Saffioti, Minister for Tourism of Western Australia, said securing this event was another major achievement for Western Australia.
“This congress is another fantastic opportunity to showcase Western Australia and all we have to offer to global leaders, environmentalists and educators from all around the world.
“Importantly, these large-scale business events also provide direct benefits to Western Australians, with an increase in visitation set to inject millions of valuable dollars into our local businesses and hospitality providers.”
